Resolution:

Typically, the warning messages are related to the W3svc driver service or to the Active Server Pages (ASP) service.

To reregister the performance counter libraries of the affected service, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
  2. Type unlodctrServiceName, and then press ENTER.Note Servicename represents the name of the affected service.
  3. Type lodctrIniFile, and then press ENTER.Note Inifile represents the name of the .ini file for the driver that you want to reload. For example, if you want to reload the W3svc driver, you must type w3ctrs.ini.

To resolve the Perfts.dll for the "TermService"

This problem occurs because the size and the date of the Perfts.dll file in Windows Server 2003 SP2 do not match the size and the date that were stored earlier in the registry for the Perfts.dll file .

  • Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
  • At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER.
    lodctr /T:TermService

Note This command will modify the size and the date that are stored in the registry for the Perfts.dll file.

    1. Valuable info. Lucky me I observed your blog by accident, I bookmarked it.

    2. There’s some much garabage on blogs today that it is challenging to come across the accurate diamonds. Glad i just discovered one. thanks:)

    3. Thanks for the great post – solves some issues. Like the others mentioned – with all the blogs that are clogged with irrelevant stuff – it’s nice to find one with good info.
