NYC SHAREPOINT DEVELOPERS USERS GROUP (NYCSDUG) MEETS APRIL 21ST

This month’s SharePoint User group meeting will be Wednesday, April 21st (note that meetings are the THIRD WEDNESDAY of every month) when Neil Barkhina of Gig Werks will present a Deep Dive into Silverlight for SharePoint. Neil will demonstrate how Silverlight has become an integral part of the SharePoint 2010 experience and will walk through current and future Silverlight Development techniques using Visual Studio, Expression Blend, Web Services and the new Client Object Model. Note that this meeting’s Silverlight presentation will be geared for developers, while the May 5th Silverlight presentation will be targeted at SharePoint admins and power users.

To signup go to http://www.meetup.com/nycsdug. If you’re not already registered with meetup.com (a great site by the way) you’ll have to register. Just remember to give both your first and last name on meetup.com so that I can prepare the list for the security desk in the Microsoft building.

Meetings are held at the same place as the SPUG, on the 6th Floor of the Microsoft Building at 1290 Avenue of the Americas (between 51-and 52), in the Palace Conference Room. Sandwiches, salads, water and soda will be served, courtesy of our Founding Sponor Gig Werks! You can find out more about Gig Werks at www.Gig-Werks.com or take a look at their blog, TheSharePointBlog.net.

See you there!
